Service times, directions, and what to expect upon your first visit to Crossroads Church
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Crossroads Church a great one.
We meet every Sunday with services at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:15 am. Our church is located at 17781 Garrett Highway, Oakland, MD – just a few minutes south of Deep Creek Lake along Route 219.
What can I expect?
In total, a Crossroads Church service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the worship team leading the church in music – song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, our pastor will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
What’s the culture like at Crossroads?
Sundays at Crossroads are casual, contemporary, and Christ centered. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
What about my kids?
We love kids at Crossroads and we’re pretty sure that your kids will love their experience in our full service kids church. They will have their own worship experience with lots of kids their own age. We use music, drama, video, crafts, and more to make the Bible come alive to our children.
We have a nursery, a 3-4 year old class, a 5-9 year old class, and a 10-12 year old class.
All classes are available during 9:30am and 11:15am Sunday morning gatherings.
Our kids church is staffed with people who love kids and are certified by our screening process to ensure the safety of every child who comes through our doors. Each class has at least 2 teachers and you will be notified immediately by our notification system if your child would need you at any time. Every child is issued a 2 part ID and parents are required to show their part of the ID when you pick up your child.
Sometimes kids are a little shy about going to a class for the first time so if you would rather keep your child with you in the sanctuary, that is fine too! We also have a room in the back of the sanctuary for nursing mothers or if your child needs a break from the service.
Ready to check out Crossroads in person?
We’d love to meet you. On nice days, you’ll see our Connection Center tent in the parking lot and we’d love to talk with you there. If you have any questions or need any help during your visit, don’t hesitate to ask. Can’t wait to meet you!
